“مريم معونة الأمّهات”،غايتها أعمال البر والاحسان والعمل على انهاء الإجهاض، والدفاع عن حقّ الجنين الذي خلقه الله، ولتحقيق الهدف الذي خُلِق لأجله. وللتأكيد للعالم المؤمن وغير المؤمن، أنَّ الجنين هو الإنسان الذي يَحقُّ له الحياة أكثر من الذي أعطِي إياها وهو لا يُقدِّرها حقَّ التقدير، ولأنَّ طبيعة الجنين والطفل لا تسمَح له بالدفاع عن نفسه.

تتمتع الجمعية بالشخصية المعنوية وبالاستقلال المالي والاداري وهي تتألف من ناشطين في الشأن العام وأصحاب علم واختصاص مدنيين ورجال دين ، لتتميم الخدمات وتحقيق الأهداف الموضوعة والتي لأجلها تأسَّست الجمعية. وهي جمعية خيرية اجتماعية غير سياسية لا تتوخّى الربح.
